Remarks:  The water of this county is frustous? and very clear and color.  A large spring in Wetaug is a curiosity.  It comes up out of this solid rock some 40 feet in diameter.  It has never been ascertained how deep it is.  It extends down to a great depth in the form of a funnel.  The timber is of various kinds.  ??, White or Black Oak, Poplar, Hickory, Cypress, Gum, Ash, White & Black Walnut, Beech, Cherry, ??.

E. E. Sheppard died from the effects of a bite by a poisonous insect.  F. M. Atherton had a sore leg and amputation became necessary and from this cause his life --- ----?.
