Grand-father of John W. Stoner. "Moses was born in N.C. in 1845. Moses married Sarah Miller and she died in 1882. He then married Sarah Wiard and she died in 1918. Both Sarah's are buried in Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Moses and Sarah Miller had 4 children and Moses and Sarah Wiard had 2 children. Sarah Miller died giving birth to twins and they are buried on top of her. Sarah Miller was my Great Grandmother."
Grandparents of John W. Stoner
"John Henry Stoner and Florence (Barnhart) Stoner (Sarah Miller's son). They had a farm in the Wetaug country side. Buried in Mt. Pisgah cemetery. The Church is an old Lutheran church. It sits high on a hill. It is the center piece of the cemetery, and the second oldest Lutheran church in Southern IL. Paragraph 23 of my list of Descendants describes John Henry Stoner, and My Father Curtis L. Stoner. Paragraph 14 describes Moses Stoner."
