James Edward Beaver

James Edward Beaver, 72, died at 9:10 a.m. today at the family residence in Mound City.  Mr. Beaver was a well-known business man of Mound City for the past 47 years and had been a resident of Mound City for 60 years.  He was a member of the Congregational Church, Trinity Lodge No. 562 A.F. and A.M., and the Grand Lodge 100F at Springfield.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Magenta Beaver, two sons, Raymond E. of Mound City and Roy F. of Cairo: seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren,: four sisters, Mrs. William Crippen, Kankakee, Ill., Mrs. Maud Smith, Franklin, Ind., Mrs. Oscar Atherton, Carbondale, Mrs. Edgar Koonce, Mounds; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The body is at the Gunn Funeral Home.  Complete funeral arrangements will be announced later.  Gunn Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for James Edward Beaver, who died Friday morning will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Gunn Funeral Home in Mound City with the Rev. William Wiggins officiating.  Burial will be in the family lot in Thistlewood Cemetery.  Masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside by Trinity Lodge Number 562 A.F. & A. M. of Mound City.  The body is at the Funeral Home where friends may call.  Gunn Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
