Jerry Bethel
BETHEL, Mr. Jeremiah "Jerry" - Age 69, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 11AM Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, G-3196 Pasadena, with funeral service commencing immediately at 12Noon. Apostle Lonnie Brown officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mr. Bethel now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 4PM-8PM today. Mr. Jeremiah "Jerry" Bethel was born December 6, 1935 in Ullin, Illinois, to the late George Bethel and Annie Lee Allison. It was there in Ullin that he met the woman who would become his future wife and life soul mate, Enavary Viola Gibson. He and his soul mate, Enavary "Bum" Gibson, were married July 9, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. Their union produced 4 children; 1 son and 3 daughters. Jerry took pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son. He also had various interest and accomplishments, particularly in Judo, where he was a past president of the Flint Judo Club. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 47 years, Enavary Viola Bethel; 3 daughters, Gwendolyn Jean Campbell, Angela "Denise" Bethel, Annette (Moses) Price; 2 grandchildren, Caresian (Tina) Campbell, Deborah "Deb Deb" Price; 8 brothers and sisters, Clifford (Flossie), Sylvester, Lucy, Eloise, Floyd (Juanita), Anna M., Eddie, and Ethel (Robert); sisters-in-law, Lula, Dorothy, Lorraine, Catherine (Lafayette); brother-in-law, Samuel; aunt, Bessie Thorpe; and 2 great-grandsons; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Lorenzo Dumas, and Casey Jones. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lamont; parents, George Bethel and Annie Lee Bennett; his adoring grandson, Antonio Deon "Tony" Bethel; eldest brother, Johnny Cotton; step-father, Herbert J.
