Levi Wade "Bear" Bagby

MOUNDS-- Levi Wade "Bear" Bagby, 17, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, from injuries in an apartment fire in Clinton, KY. 

Levi was born March 5, 1987, in Carbondale, son of Albert C. "Duke" Bagby III & Vicki (HIGGINS) Bagby.

He was a 10th grader at Meridian High School in Mounds.

Survivors include his mother, Vickie Higgins of Mounds; his father and step-mother, Albert C. "Duke" III and Jacky Bagby of Metropolis; four brothers, Shane Bagby and Clay Bagby of Mounds, Chris Bagby of Brookport and Derek Bagby of Metropolis; two sisters, Amanda Bagby and Rebecca Bagby, both of Metropolis; two step-sisters, Brittany and Heather Jones of Wickliffe, KY.; maternal grandparents, Charlotte Dunning of Marion and Ray & Valerie Higgins of Cunningham, KY.; paternal grandparents, Albert and Lillian Bagby Jr. of Mounds; maternal great-grandmothers, Faye Dismore of Baldwell, Ky. and Beulah DeLashmutt of Olive Branch; a niece, Victoria Eve Vaughn; and a nephew, Aaron Tyler Bagby; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p. m. Thursday in the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Paul McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Cache Chapel Cemetery, east of Ullin. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
