Mary Louise Barron

Mary Louise Barron, 76, passed away Monday, February 10, 2003, at Independence Health Care Center. 

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. 

The family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice or the American Heart Association. 

Mrs. Barron was born March 10, 1926, in Mounds, IL, to George and Elsie Mattson. 

She had lived in the Independence area for many years and was involved as a Board Member of the Trail Creek Neighborhood Association. Mary was a member of the Rockwood Baptist Church. 

She is survived by two children, Harold Barron, Harrisonville, MO, and Virginia Woodard, Independence, MO., two grandchildren, Duane Barron and Dee Dee Carter; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Elsie Powell, Independence, MO; her brother, Harold Mattson, Independence, MO; and many other loving relatives and friends.
