John L. Curry

John L. Curry, 84, of Villa ridge, died at 4:24p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on May 9, 1919, in Pulaski, the son of Olen and Mattie (CAUDLE) Curry.

He was a grain and livestock farmer with Curry Farms in Villa Ridge before his retirement.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Olmsted.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Russell Curry, and by his sister Blanche Baker.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Curry of Villa Ridge; his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Russ Meadows of Anna; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jeanie Curry of Villa Ridge; two sisters, Juanita Parker of Villa Ridge and Viola Dover of Grand Chain; his grandchildren, Terry J. and Angie, Brian and Linda, Angela and Jeremy, and Chadd; his great-grandchildren, Oliva, Tristan and Jerron; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 10a.m. Thursday, today, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Olmsted with Pastor Carl Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Memorials can be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Olmsted or to the Smiles senior citizens center in Ullin.
