Effie Lou Dexter

DEXTER, Effie Lou - Of Burton, age 94, passed away at home on Friday, March 11, 2005. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday March 14, 2005 at Liberty Missionary Baptist, 4555 South Saginaw, Burton, Pastor Peter Santisteban officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. 

Those desiring may make contributions to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church or Avalon Hospice. Visitation 1-3 and 5-8PM Sunday, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Dexter will be at the church from 1:30PM until the time of the service Monday. 

Mrs. Dexter was born in Ullin, Illinois on September 1, 1910. 

Surviving are her 2 sons, Hollis E. and wife Laura of New Lothrop, Robert and wife Carol of New Brighton, Minnesota; 2 daughters, Rosemary Kinzie of Atlanta, Michigan, Ruth and husband Harold Toomey of Flint; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen North of Cobden, Illinois, Ellen Lingle of Cobden, Illinois, Carrie Robinson of Louisville, Kentucky. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis, in 1993; granddaughter, Sharon Rose in 1958 and son-in-law, Charles Kinzie, in 2004.
