Ella (Mowery) Dexter

MRS. BEN DEXTER (Ella Mowery Dexter) of Ullin died at 8:15 Thursday night at her home after an extended illness. She was 92 years old.

The former Miss Ella Mowery was born July 25, 1883, and married Mr. Dexter Nov. 25, 1914. 

She was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church near Ullin where she had the distinction of being the oldest church member and had served as the first organ player.

Surviving: her husband; sons, Paul Dexter, Kenneth Dexter, and Ralph Dexter, all of Ullin; daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Robinson, Byron, Mich., Mrs. Wanda Lentz, and Mrs. Carol J. Adams, both of Ullin; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call after 6:30 Saturday night at Stoner Funeral Home in Ullin where service will be at 2 Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Gale Mack, pastor of Beech Grove United Methodist Church, will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
