Eli Jesse Eanes, Jr.
Mr. Eli Jesse Eanes, Jr., 76, of Battle Creek, MI, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at his home in Battle Creek, MI. He was born April 17, 1931 in Mounds, IL the son of Eli Eanes, Sr. and Callie L. (Curd) Eanes. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1962. He was a machine operator at Cello Foil Products for 27 years. Eli is survived by wife of 19 Years, Joyce (Fowler) Eanes, Battle Creek, MI; daughters, Lynn Eanes, Yvonne Eanes of Kalamazoo, MI, Anita Carmouche of Pontiac, MI, Mary Carmouche, Deborah Carmouche (Al) Brown, Venus (Arnold) Payne all of Battle Creek, Angel Wiggins (Dwight) Williamson of Great Lakes, IL; sons, David Eanes of Chicago, IL, Jerry Eanes of California, Eric Carmouche Eanes of Kalamazoo, MI, Rick Carmouche of Arizona, Melvin Carmouche, Eugene (Debora) Wiggins both of Battle Creek, MI, Gene (Jacqueline) Wiggins of California; sister, Delores Webb of Pontiac, MI; Brother, Harold (Vernita) Eanes of Albion, MI, Charles (C.J.) Eanes of Salina, KS; 28 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Terill Eanes (1975); daughter, Latitia Wiggins-Crumley (2003); and grandson, Antwain Carmouche (2004). He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, watching westerns and loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2007, 12:30 p.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with the Rev. Jim Codde of Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to Lifespan-Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
