Homer Lee Essex

Homer Lee Essex, 75, of Aurora passed away, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Rush Copley Hospital, Aurora. 

He was born September 12, 1932 in Pulaski, IL the son of Cecil and Virginia (Honnard) Essex. 

Homer was a member of the Tigers Club. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 46 years and retired from there in 1994. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a faithful friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew him. 

He is survived by his wife, Edith; his children, Sherrie (Gary) Rintz of Fox River Grove, IL, Ron Essex of Aurora, Anita (Kevin) Webber of Aurora, Glenn (Jeanne) Essex of Paw Paw, IL, and Robert (Maxine) Essex of Sugar Grove; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

 The family will be greeting guests, Monday, March 31, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538.
