Frances Guenther

Frances Guenther, 80, passed away on the morning of June 15, 2008 at her home in Oakdale, after a long battle with cancer.

Fran was born in Mounds, Illinois to Roy Brown and Opal Collier. She has lived in Oakdale for over 35 years. 

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Jim) Cunningham of Oakdale, her brother Kenneth (Kathy) Brown of Robinsville, NC, half sisters Rebecca Brown and Elizabeth Brown of Michigan, three grandchildren: Tiffany (Verdell) Horselooking of Turlock, Larry Cunningham of Hughson, Derrick (Laura) Cunningham of Oakdale. She also has six great grandchildren: Landen and Alesha Collins, Erricka and Eddie Cunningham, Tyler and Tessa Cunningham.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Duane Guenther and her parents and her sister Barbara Bassingem.

The funeral will be Friday, June 20th at 10 am at Saint Mary's Church in Oakdale, with burial at the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday June 19th from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Olson, Community Hospice and the girls from Arcadia Health Care for the wonderful care they gave her during her illness.
