MARGUERITE C. GUILD, 92, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 14, 1910, in Wetaug, Ill., died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Dammert Geriatric Center at The Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Ill.
Ms. Guild was a legal secretary at Scott Air Force Base for almost 30 years. She had also worked as a registered beautician, as manager of the peanut butter department at Fancy Food, St. Louis, Mo., and for First National Bank St. Louis, Mo. After her retirement she typed envelopes for her brother Father Edwin Guild's first appeal for the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. After moving to the Shrine Apartment community, she took care of Father Guild until his death. Her hobbies included quilting and golf.
Ms. Guild was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth, nee Klee, Guild; two brothers John Guild and Father Edwin Guild; and a sister, Leona Vandergriff.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Jan (Phil) Ballas of Swansea, Ill., Terry (Bill) Starms of Okawville, Ill., Cathy (Phil) Powers of Collinsville, Ill., Bill (Jo-Ann) Vandergriff of Carlsbad, N.M., and Mary Lee Winter of Seabring, Fla.; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; dear friends, Mathilda (Verle) Hoelscher of Belleville, Ill., Dorothy Ray of Swansea, Ill., Ruth Bommerscheim of Belleville, Ill., and Jean Boyce of Belleville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at The Shrine Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, Ill. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at Calvary Cemetery, Villa Ridge, Ill.
