Roy Richard Grear

Roy Richard Grear, son of Thomas Richard and Cora Wright Grear, was born July 14, 1902, in Johnson Co., IL., near Cypress. 

He departed this life August 10, 1945, at the age of 43 years 28 days, at the Veterans Hospital at Roseburg, Oregon. 

He had been in service since Oct. 16, 1942. 

He leaves behind to morn his going the following, wife Lorraine Grear of Ullin, a daughter Catherine also of Ullin, and one son PFC John Thomas Grear of the U.S. Army. His mother Cora Simms of Anna, sister Mrs. Roxie Lentz of Elco, brother Earl Grear of Herrin, three nieces, one nephew, and a host of relatives and friends.
