Betty Lou Hunter

Betty Lou Hunter, 74, of Elgin, passed away Friday, August 24, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.

She was born June 12, 1927 in Perks, Illinois, the daughter of Arnie and Coretta Corzine Adams.

She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 35 years.

She was employed at the Elgin Mental Health Care Center for 35 years before retiring.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Helin of Elgin; a grandson, James (Gloria) Helin of Genoa, IL; and a special friend, Joanna Osman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Robert Hunter in 1963.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Steve Srock officiating.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery, Manteno.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 9 PM in the funeral home.
