Harry R. Helton Sr., 60, of Villa Ridge, formerly of Mound City, Ill., died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at his home.

Harry was born March 25, 1945, in Mound City, Ill., son of William Archie and Rose Rachael Smith Helton. He was a member of First Assembly Church of Canalou, Mo., and was a retired caregiver at Habcare Home Health Services in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Helton; three sons, Alfred Cook, Ricky Helton Jr. and Billy Helton, all of Villa Ridge; a daughter, Crystal Hinman of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two brothers, Lawrence and Raymond Helton, both of Villa Ridge; a sister, Alice Williams of Villa Ridge; and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Green Law Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
