Henry Heisner

Grand Chain: Henry Heisner, who passed away at his
home here October 29 was 80 years of age. He was born in East St. Louis,
Illinois, August 1, 1850. He was married to Miss Catherine Lepere and to
this union eleven children were born. Three preceded him in death. He
leaves to mourn his death his wife and eight chldren Jacob Heisner,
George, William, Mrs. Calvin Wilmoth, Mrs. Fred Helming, all of Grand
Chain; Mrs. Charles Grubbs of Karnak; Mrs. Alva Wilmoth of West Frankfort;
and Henry Heisner of South Haven, Michigan. He also leaves 33
grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Heisner,
of Pinckneyville, Illinois; one sister Mrs. Lizzie Deihl of Belleville,
Illinois, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services
were held at the Congregational Church in Grand Chain October 31, 1930,
conducted by Rev. Bennenger. Burial was at Grand Chain Cemetery, G. A.
James funeral director. He was a member of the German Lutheran Church for
50 years. He was a farmer, living on the present farm for about 40 years,
about one and one half miles east of Grand Chain, having reared his family

Mrs. Heisner is a sister of Fred Lepere, who
resides in Ava.
