William Archie Helton, Jr., 2428 Terminal Avenue, Granite City, entered into rest at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 1969, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Beloved husband of Mrs. Thelma Helton; dear father of Joseph, James, Tina, Diana and Tonia Helton; dear son of Mrs. Rosie Hel-Thompson, Robert Lee Helton; [typo is in original], dear brother of Mrs. Alice Williams, Mrs. Toni Thompson, Robert Lee Helton, Lawrence Helton, Harry Helton, PFC Melbourne Wayne Helton and Raymond Helton.

His remains will lie in state at the Mercer Mortuary, 1416 Niedringhaus Avenue, Granite City. They will be taken Tuesday morning, Oct. 7, to Mound City, Ill., for arrangements on services. 

Interment National Cemetery, Mound City.

Services at 5 p.m. today, Oct. 6, at Mercer Chapel, and on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 9. from Alstack Funeral Home, Mound City.
