Charles L. Keller

Charles L. Keller went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2004. 

He was born in Ullin, IL on June 13, 1918.

 In 1925 he moved with his parents and siblings to Dearborn, MI. In 1935, he began his working career at Fabricon Products (Detroit) where he worked 29 years. He was a pioneer of the development of laminated products and the resins and chemicals used in their production. In 1936, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Foley. 

Mr. Keller served 2 years in the US Navy as a physical instructor training recruits at Great Lakes Naval Station. In 1965 he joined Pioneer Plastics Corporation of Auburn, ME where he worked until he retired in 1983. The last 12 years he was President and CEO of Pioneer. A year after retiring, he worked as a consultant to Pioneer for 8 years when he retired for good. Mr. Keller served on the Board of Directors of Mid Maine Mutual Savings Bank; and was active in many civic programs in the area. He served on the Board of Directors of Taylor University. He was a member of the Detroit Athletic Club, the Grosse Isle Country Club (Michigan); the Martindale Country Club, Maine, and the Cumberland Club of Portland, ME. He was blessed to be a member of the First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton, FL. 

Mr. Keller is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, of 68 years; a son, Dr. Ronald L. Keller; 2 grandchildren, Beth Legate and Jeffrey Keller; 2 great grandsons, Jonathan and Jacob Keller; a brother, John Keller; and several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Biblical Theological Seminary in honor Charles L. Keller. Gifts may be sent to the Seminary at 200 Main Street, Hatfield, PA 19440 or to the First United Methodist Church, Boca Raton. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church.
