Ernest E. Lingle

"Ernie", Age 76. Saturday, April 12, 2003 at Silver Cross Hospital following a lengthy illness.

 Born in Ullin, IL and a Joliet area resident since 1963. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific. Founder of the Lingle Glass Co. until his retirement in 1991. A union glazer for Local #27 for over 40 years. Past board member for the Will/Grundy County Contractors Association. Past member of the Northern Illinois Glazing Contractors Association. Member of Cantigny Post V.F.W. #367. During retirement Ernie enjoyed his winters in Arizona and traveling.

Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Clara Lingle. One brother, Ray Lingle. One sister, Norma Lentz. His grandson, Frederick "Freddy" Lingle Jr.

Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma D. Lingle. Two sons, Frederick E. Lingle Sr. and Kenneth "Mike" (Nicolette) Lingle all of Joliet. One daughter, Theresa (Ronald) Finley of Wilmington. Three grandchildren, Summer (Joseph) Pistorios, Adam (Fiancee Lauren) Aiello and Jayna (Fiancee Kevin) Lingle. Special great grandchild, Laura Jo Lynn Aiello. One brother, Carl (Genevieve) Lingle. Three sisters, Mildred Honey, Bernice (Clarence) Johnson and Helen (Robert) Hawkins. His aunt Olive Stroup and many dear friends especially William and Dorothy Brorsen and Ann Hansen.

Funeral services for Ernest E. Lingle will be Wednesday, April 16, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at:
