John Martin

John Martin, 58, formerly of Grand Chain, IL., died Thursday Dec. 13, 2001 at home.

He was employed by the Murphysboro City Police.

A member of the Shootist Gun Club in Murphysboro and of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his mother, Billie Jean Compton Martin of Murphysboro and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ken Martin.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating.

Burial will be held in the Masonic Cemetery at Belknap.
