Johnny Magic

Johnny Magic, 60, of Evansville died Thursday, July 18, 2003 of natural causes.

Johnny was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he was baptized June 6,1997.

He had served a number of years in the United States Army.

Johnny was well known as "the community handy man" always willing to help others.

Whenever you saw him he always had a smile and a friendly hello.

Johnny had been a barber and owner of the "Magic Touch" Barber Shop in California.

He had been employed at RCA, Brachs Candy and Ameriqual.

Johnny will be greatly missed but he leaves many fun and wonderful memories to his survivors.

To cherish his memory he leaves his wife Janice Bell-Magic of Evansville; mother, Jessie Mae Magic of Chicago; son, Johnny "Touche'" Magic of Atlanta, Ga; stepsons Jahi Bell and Rayshon Bell of Evansville; daughters Rayshawn Magic, of Arizona, Patrice Betts of Chicago, Raynada Magic of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; a devoted Mother in Law, Betty Bell-Leslie (Les) of Evansville; and a host of extended family and friends.

He also leaves three special friends, Mrs. Ester Harris, Mrs. Cora Edmonds and Ms. Jessie Woodridge, all of Evansville.

Funeral services will be Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, Rev W. R. Brown Sr. officiating.

Wake services will be Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
