Leonard Alberta Marr

Leonard Alberta Marr was born August 23, 1912 to George Marr and Essie Farrington in Mound City, Illinois. He was an only child. He was raised and attended public schools in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was baptized in Jesus's name and filled with the Holy Ghost May 11, 1949 at Christ Temple II where Sis. Lillian Mason was the pastor. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Shirley Bishop Vaughn on July 31, 1964.

In November 1968 Leonard moved to Salt Lake City and became a member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church under Dr. Rosemary R. Cosby and Bishop Robert C. Cosby where he remained until his passing Saturday October 24, 1998. He retired from the University of Utah as a janitor in the emergency room after 9 years of service there.

He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, seven children, Venai L. Vaughn, Zedric L. Vaughn, Nathaniel A. Black all of Salt Lake City; DeAnna T. Letsinger (Mrs. Todd A.) of Indianopolis, Indiana; Leonard E. Jr., Rosemary L. Martin (Mrs. John E.) and Markue V. also of Salt Lake City.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church 1510 Richard Street. Where friends may call one hour prior at the church. Interment Taylorsville Cemetery. Funeral Directors Broomhead Funeral Home.
