McHARRY, John H. - Of Flint, age 92, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Genesys Convalescent Center. 

Funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. 

Those desiring may make contributions to American Diabetes Association or Genesys Hospice. 

Visitation 2-4 and 6-8PM Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be conducted by the Flint Lodge No. 23 F.&A.M. at 7PM Monday at the funeral home. 

John was born in Ullin, Illinois on September 22, 1914, and moved to Flint from Illinois in 1943. He married Frances E. Holderfield on April 23, 1937 in Vienna, Illinois. 

He was a member of Flint Lodge No. 23 F.&A.M. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps of Illinois. Mr. McHarry was employed by Greenley's, as a service manager, for many years retiring in 1978. 

Surviving are wife, Frances; daughter, Linda Delores and husband Marlo Amtsbuechler of Petoskey; 3 granddaughters, Laura Amtsbuechler and husband Robert DiVincenzo of Lake Orion, Lisa K. and husband Todd Grieb of Rochester Hills, Sarah L. Chandler of West Bloomfield; 4 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Connor and Hannah Grieb and Grace Stuart; brother, Harvey W. McHarry of Nebraska; many nieces and nephews.
