William "Bill" Franklin Orr

 March 1, 1919 - February 3, 2005. 

Born in Mound City, IL, Bill died Thursday at his home in Dallas. 

He was graduated from Webster Groves High School in St. Louis, MO and from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston MA with degrees of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (1941) and Master of Science in Economics and Engineering (1942). He was an Eagle Scout and actively involved in the Episcopal Church of Western North Carolina, St. Louis, MO and Dallas. 

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maria Quillian Orr of Dallas; daughter Maria "Penny" Ruggles and her daughters, Rebecca and Sarah, of Tacoma, WA; daughter Elsie Carome, her husband Patrick and their children, Katherine and William, of Washington, DC; daughter Louisa Meyer, her husband James and their children, Benjamin and John, of Dallas; daughter Caroline Kermath and her children, James and Mark, of Houston, TX. 

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 4:00pm in the Chapel of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Ave, Dallas 75225.
