Alfred Lee Patton, Sr.

Mr. Alfred Lee Patton, Sr. age 66, died Saturday, October 18, 1997 at Hurley Medical Center.

 Family hour 11am Thursday, October 23, 1997 from Greater Friendship Azusa Church of God in Christ, G-5169 Detroit St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:30am. Supt. Birdie Shields, Sr. officiating. 

Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11am Thursday. 

Mr. Patton now lies in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed after 11am today. 

Mr. Alfred Lee Patton, Sr. was born April 16, 1931 in Mounds, Illinois, the son of Mr. Leo Patton and Ms. Lenora Miller. 

He retired after 34 years of service from Chevrolet Manufacturing, a division of General Motors Corporation, and was a member of UAW Local 659, and also was a former member of Club 23. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife of 44 years, Nadine Patton; 4 daughters, Belinda Royster, Sharon Patton, Alexis (Min.Rodney) Murphy, and Crystal; 3 sons, Gary (Judy), and Tyrone Woodward, and Alfred (Camille) Patton, Jr.; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Veola Hayes of East St. Louis, IL; brother, Fred Lee (Dorothy) Robinson of Gary, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Thelma (Thomas) Haywood of Flint, and Fannie Walker of Detroit, MI; 2 brothers-in-law,Dr. Stanley (Rosemary) Turner of Flint, and Robert Turner of Lansing, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Lusettie Hanson. 

Mr. Patton was preceded in death by his son, Larry Patton; parents, Leo Patton and Lenora McCombs. 

The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. S. Koun and the 9th Floor Oncology Staff at Hurley Medical Center.
