George Reid III

George L. Reid III, 60, of Cairo died Friday, July 28, 2006, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

He was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Cairo, son of George Leslie and Virginia Mae Parker Reid II.

He was a retired insurance salesman.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two daughters, Victoria Reid of New Iberia, La., Ashley Reid of Franklin, La.; and a brother, Charles Reid of Spring City, Tenn.

There is no service scheduled.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
