Gilbert A. Rundles, 92, of Cairo died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Daystar Care Center.

He was born March 11, 1912, in Sikeston, Mo., son of William and Annie Johnson Rundles. He married Ruby Rundles, who died in 1976.

Gilbert was a retired ironworker.

Survivors include five sons, Gilbert Rundles of East Prairie, Mo., Donald Rundles of Mound City, Ill., Earl Rundles of Olive Branch, Ill., Joe Rundles of Des Moines, Iowa, Thomas Rundles of Wickliffe, Ky.; a brother, J.D. Rundles of Cairo; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There is no visitation or service. Private burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
