Mrs. Hattie Straughmatt (Golden), 83 years old of Mound City, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 26th, 1987at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 10th, 1904 at Brackenridge, KY. Daughter of Jeff and Sarah Wathen.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Mound City. Surviving are a son, William Robert Cullin, St. Louis, MO, sisters Nell Duff, Granite City, IL and Helen Shockley, Torrence, CA. 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church here by the Rev. Louis Koehr. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
