Dorothy Wade

Dorothy Wade, 77, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at an Anson nursing home. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rufus Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Fort Phantom Hill Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.

Born December 14, 1927 in Mound City, IL, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Clara (McClain) Thomas. She was the widow of Lester Bernard "Snooks" Wade to whom she married May 30, 1955. Dorothy was a waitress and moved to Anson from Fort Phantom in 1998. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Survivors include Dorothy Ayers and husband, Mac of Ham- by, Mike Guernsey and wife, Cheryl of Anson, Lester Youngquist and wife, Michelle of Kentucky, Eddie Thomas and wife, Carolyn of Michigan; and several other nieces and nephews.
