John Rufus Williams

John R. Williams, 79, of Pulaski, passed away September 9, 1982 at Sky Rest Nursing Home in Carbondale.

He was born November 26, 1902 in Ullin, the son of Joseph Rufus and Ellen Josephine (Black) Williams. He spent all of his life in Pulaski County and mostly farmed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Iva Mae (Seals), one daughter, Erma Louise, four sisters; Ethel Zola, Lizzie, Birdie Powles, Nellie Casper and one brother, Osmer.

Survivors include two daughters; Katherine LaVerne Williams and Betty Delores Cast, one sister, Susie Mary Seals of Visalia, CA, three grandchildren; Leslie Ann (McNier) Rodgers, Alisa and Gary Cast, one great grandson, Stephen Keith Lentz.

Interment was in the Ullin City Cemetery on Saturday, September 11, 1982 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Gholson officiating. Crain Funeral Home, Ullin, in charge of arrangements.
