Jacob Pool's father was Jacob VanPool, Jr.; mother Catherine Diehl (b. 1776, d. aft 1850)
Jacob Pool (Poole, Van Poole) Jr. dies in Union County, IL on 23 Nov 1847...he is buried at St. John's Church cemetery there and his
tombstone reads that he died that day "aged 84 years, 7 days"....this date indicates that he was born in 1763, not 1775 as most records indicate.
