Sprinkleburg, near Hennepin, was the scene of a wedding fracas on Sunday afternoon a week ago. The parties were Samuel Lewis, a pedagogue, and Mr. W. A. Kays and his son. Lewis had been paying attention to Miss Kays against the wishes of the family, and that afternoon were privately married at a neighbor's. As soon as the family heard of it the father and son rode over, and an altercation ensued, a revolver drawn by the groom causing a knock down from the son, and the taking of the girl to her home. In a day or two the parent became more tractable, wiser counsel prevailed, and the bride was allowed to return to her husband. The event caused considerable excitement at the time, but it is now probable that peace will be maintained Kays they are married.

Married last Thursday at the bride's father's Mr. David Boyle, by the M. E. pastor of Magnolia, Dr. Edward E. Wilcox in Minonk to Miss Victory Boyle of Oxbow. It will be remembered that the doctor was elected to the state's senate 6 years ago coming fall. Twenty years ago he married Miss Caroline Mathis, daughter of Caleb Mathis. With her he lived, raised a nice family of children and over a year ago she fell victim to consumption. His wife, Victory, is Caroline's sister's daughter. He is now son-in-law and brother-n-law to Mr. and Mrs. Boyle, brother-in-law and uncle to Victory's brothers and sisters, husband and uncle himself to Victory. We think perhaps she may forget and call him Uncle Ed. Can the wise men of Henry tell us what the next kin will be?
