William D. Koester
William D. Koester, 46, 4124 Ninth avenue, died at 8:45 o'clock Sunday morning
at St. Anthony's hospital, after four months' illness. He had been in the hospital five weeks, his ailment being
given as a complication of diseases.
Mr. Koester was a lifelong resident of Rock Island, having been born here on Oct.
9, 1878. He attended the public schools, and became a salesman, in late years being employed by the Model bakery.
On Oct. 15, 1902, he was married to Anna Hoisington, who survives. He was a member of the Gloria Dei United Presbyterian
church of Rock Island.
Besides Mrs. Koester, the surviving members of the family are two sons, Paul and
Frank, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Crosby and Mrs. Henry Ruge of Rock Island.
Funeral services will be conducted in the home at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning,
Rev. S. W. Woodburn of Gloria Dei church officiating, and burial will take place in Chippiannock cemetery.
