Great excitement prevails in Edgington township, Rock Island County, over the prevalence of diphtheria which is making havoc with the little ones.
A meeting of the authorities was held recently to take action to check the ravages of the pestilence.
 If the disease continues to spread the town where it is raging most will be quarantined.
