- E.H. Larget was in Galatia last night, Wednesday, assisting the newly organized Redman lodge in the work.
- Ed Brown in in St. Louis this week attending the fair.
- Theodore Parish of Eldorado, was in this city Thursday.
- Loren Felts and wife returned from Johnson City Tuesday, after an extended visit with relatives.
- Miss Pearl Williford was in Eldorado Wednesday.  Miss Pearl has a large class in music at that place which occupies her attention each Wednesday and Saturday.
- Rawlston Grimes, one of the employes of the Chester penitentiary, was in the city the first of the week visiting old friends.
- Charles Wallace, a former resident of Eldorado, this county, but now of San Antonio, Tex., is visiting his brother and other relatives in this city.
- Ralph Horning and wife have returned from a week's sojourn at the World's fair.
- Miss Stella Upchurch is visiting relatives and friends in Eldorado this week.
- Mr. Ed. Blankenship, of Eldorado, spent Sunday in this city, the guest of Miss Jessie Richardson.
- Lee Jones of Vicksburg, Miss., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Jones, in this city.
- R.W. Carlisle and family spent several days in Galatia this week visiting relatives and friends.
- Mrs. Mary Galbraith of Galatia visited Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Jones in this city this week.
- Miss Mattie Halock returned from Marion Wednesday evening after a week's visit with friends there.
- Miss Bonnie Blackman returned from Stonefort Wednesday evening where she had been visiting friends and relatives.
- Miss Donnie Henderson of Stonefort is visiting in this city this week the guest of Miss Cecil Blackman.
- Miss Lucy Bayles returned from Carbondale Wednesday evening where she had been attending school.
- Harry Boatright and W.V. Rathbone returned from Marion Wednesday where they spent the Fourth.

- Dr. John Hicks of Eldorado, was in the city Tuesday.
- Dr. Rawlings of Eldorado, was in this city Tuesday.
- Mrs. D.W. Choisser has returned from St. Louis.
- Mrs. H.N. Smith of Carterville, is visiting relatives in this city.
- Marion Catlin has moved to Norris City and will help in sinking a coal shaft there.
