EAST SIDE SCHOOL

Legal Description - Section 27, T17N R3W

Location - The school was southeast of Buffalo Hart. To reach the site, take H.W. 12.25E south to H.W. 6.5N, Then three-fourths of a mile east. The school sat on the north side of the road. From Buffalo take H.W.l2.5E north three miles to H.W. 6.5N and east three-fourths of a mile.

In 1874 and 1894, J. W. Langston owned the land. In 1914, Lewis Cass owned the land. The building was remodeled in 1917 and made into a standard school.

West Side SCHOOL

Legal Description - Section 29, T17N R3S

Location - The school was south of Buffalo Hart and about seven and three-quarters miles east of Sherman. It sat on the northeast corner of the junction of H.W. 6.5N and H.W. 10.75E. A new two-room building was built in the fall of 1916. Two rooms were used until 1938-39.

In 1874 and 1894, John R. Burns owned the land. In 1914, Wm. Matthews owned the land.
