GRAND PRAIRIE SCHOOL

Legal Description - Section 11, T16N, R8W.
Location: Southwest of Pleasant Plains at the junction of H.W. 16.5W and H.W. 4N on the southwest corner of the junction.
In 1874 it was located on N. Butler's land. In 1894 it was located on William Walbaum's land. In 1914 it was located on Fred C. Walbaum's land.

HARRISON SCHOOL

Legal Description: Section 26, T17N, R7W
Location: One-half mile east of the junction of H.W. 10.5W and H.W. 6N on the north side of the road.

In 1874 it was located on G.M. Harrison's land. In 1894 it was situated on Jacob Schnapp's land and in 1914 on Rosa Schnapp's land.

Location: The school site was on IL. Route 125 at the junction of H.W. 10.5 W on the east side of the junction. It is northeast of Richland Station.
In 1874 it was located on John A. Williams Company's land. In 1894 it wa located on R. P. Harrison's land and in 1914 it was located on Harrison and Marbold's land.

WASHBURN SCHOOL

Legal Description: Section 23, T16N, R7W
Location: From IL. Route 125 go south on H.W. 9W to H.W. 1N then one and one-fourth miles west. The site was on the north side of the road south and east of Richland Station.
In the 1874 Atlas no school was shown in this section. A school was shown however, in Section 13 on Ferry Land. The old records do not start for Washburn until 1884, so it must have been built about that time. In 1894 it was located on W. Purcell's land and was adjacent to W. Washburn's land. In 1914 it was located on John McMullan's land.

In 1874 the school was located on P. Plunkett's land. In 1894 it was located on S.P. Plunkett's land and in 1914 is was located on Jennie E. Richardson's land.

Legal Description: Section 29, T17N, R7W
Location: The school was north of Pleasant Plains at the junction of H.W. 14W and H.W. 6N. It stood on the northwest corner of the junction.
In 1906 the school was built on T. White's land. It contained good cloakrooms with plenty of hooks, a library, maps and charts. In 1914 it was located on Elizabeth White's land.
