Abraham Unthank, 70, of 2820 South Macarthur Blvd, was found dead at noon yesterday at his residence by his sister, Mrs. Charles Means, of Springfield, who told authorities that she last saw her brother Wednesday Morning.
Coroner W. C. Telford said Mr. Unthank died of apparent natural causes. An inquest will be held.
Mr. Unthank was born December 23, 1886 in Springfield. He was a coal miner at the Klondike Coal Mine until his retirement. He was also a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are a brother Alfred and a sister, Mrs. Charles Means, of Springfield.
The body is at Bisch Memorial Home.

Abraham Unthank, Sr.
Abraham Unthank, of 2608 West Grand Avenue South died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 1933, at his residence. Aged 78 years. Survived by his wife Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Ward, Mrs. Mary Means of Springfield and Mrs. Jane Randerson of England. Three sons, Abraham, Jr., Arthur and Albert, all of city: and nine grandchildren. Was member of Improved Order of Redmen, Illinois Council 66. Remains to Bisch & Son's Memorial Home. Arthur Unthank of 2820 South Macarthur, died at noon yesterday at St. John's Hospital, which he entered Sunday. He was 69 years old. Mr. Unthank was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by two brothers, Abraham and Alfred Unthank and one sister, Mrs. Mary Means, all of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Remains were taken to Bisch memorial home, were funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev William L. Ketchum will officiate and burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Eliza Unthank dies at hospital.
Mrs. Eliza Elizabeth Unthank, 68, a resident of Springfield for 50 years, died at 8:05 p.m. yesterday in St. John's hospital following a illness of one week.
Mrs. Unthank was born in England and came to Springfield when she was 18 years old. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; two sons, Richard and Charles; both of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Alta Shepardson and Mrs. Doris Enslow, both of Springfield; Mrs. Leona Dawson, Lincoln, and Mrs. Pearl Kemper, St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Oliver Burris, and 10 grandchildren.
Remains were removed to the Vancil funeral home. Funeral arraignments are incomplete.
Eliza Elizabeth Unthank
Remains of Mrs. Eliza Elizabeth Unthank, 2820 South Pasfield Street are at Vancil funeral home (north side) where memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. H.M. Hilderbrandt officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Remains viewed 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and to time of services Monday.
