AROUND the TOWN
of BROWNING
PHOTOS

Aerial View of Browning
Taken winter of 1974
The large road run through Browning is Highway 100.
Lots of the houses to the south of the highway have been
torn down because of the flood area housing buyout.

Flood of 1979
It shows from left to right, the post office as it
is now, an old building where Mush Utter used to live.
He was related to Judge Utter who presided in Rushville for a long time.
The next building is the Boyd Brothers IGA building. The fourth building across
the highway was Lane's Fish Market. It was torn down and the property sold
in the recent flood area housing buyouts.
