Obituary of Nancy Etta (Favoretta) Croxton
died: July 05, 1907
unknown paper
Nancy Etta Croxton, daughter of Elijah and Hester Croxton, was born April 30, 1866, and died July 5th [1907], at the home of her brother Joel, south of Huntsville; aged 41 years, 2 months and 6 days.
She was converted early in youth, enjoying religion by living it, and in her quiet, sweet way worked it.  Because of ill health she was unable to attend church or go in society often, but she enjoyed the visits of her friends.  She was an affectionate sister, patient, kind, appreciative and cheerful.  Her suffering because of her affliction since childhood was great, but her triumph and rest are greater.
Having always lived in our community with the exception of a few years in Augusta, and with her sister in Kansas and brothers at Washington, D.C., she had a host of friends who, with her relatives, gathered at the Shiloh church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock to listen to the beautiful service, conducted by Dr. Hutchison of Augusta.  The casket was covered with beautiful flowers, tokens from her many friends.  Six of her nieces acted as pall bearers.  The remains were interred in the Huntsville cemetery.
