TABEL-HARR

Married, on Wednesday evening of this week, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas Harr, in this city (Charleston, IL), Mr. Paul E. TABEL to Miss Louise HARR. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. J. B. Wolfe, of Shelbyville. The occasion was the calling together of numerous relatives and friends, who expressed their heartfelt gratulations to the happy couple. They were also the recipients of a number of very costly presents, a list of which we will publish in our next issue.

BECK-BARTMAN

ROCKFORD - Miss Mildred Bartman and her friend, Justin Beck, stole a march on their many friends and were quietly married at Charleston recently. We wish them much joy and happiness on their long journey of wedlock.

HUFFER-MYERS
Married, in Shelbyville, April 16, 1878 at the residence of the bride, by Rev. J. L. Douthit, Mr. John C. Huffer to Mrs. Mattie L. Myers. [Shelbyville Democrat , April 18, 1878 vol 4 no 38 p3 c8]

MANHART-YAKEY
Miss Ethel Yakey, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Yakey, living northwest of Stewardson and Lewis Manhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Manhart, also living northwest of Stewardson, were united in holy wedlock Sunday afternoon, Nov. 17, 1935, at 2 o'clock at the Christian parsonage in Shelbyville by Rev. Ward. The single ring ceremony being used. The attending witnesses were Miss Ruth Anderson and Edwin Manhart.
The bride was attired in blue chiffon velvet with accessories to match, while the bridesmaid wore blue crepe with accessories to match.
The bridegroom and best man were attired in dark blue serge.
A 6 o'clock turkey dinner with all the good things that go with it was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Yakey Sunday evening to about 40 near relatives.
A rousing charivari was given the newlyweds Sunday evening. Congratulations

METZGER-HAUTER
Pretty June Wedding
Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Hauter, near Dollville, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Bertha to Edward Metzger. Miss Julia, sister of the bride, played the wedding march, and Rev. C. Mueller performed the ring ceremony. There were no attendants and only the immediate relatives and friends of the contracting parties were present.
The ceremony was performed in the bay window of the south parlor. The bride's dress was white french lawn [sic] and she carried a boquet [sic] of white carnations. The rooms were prettily decorated, the colors being white and green.
After the ceremony an elaborate wedding dinner was served and at eight o'clock a dance was given at Tilley's hall in honor of the bride and groom.
Mrs. Metzger formerly lived near Fisher, Illinois. She is an accomplished young lady and has won many friends since her residence in this county. Mr. Metzger is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Metzger and is one of the energetic young farmers of Rural township. After November the first, Mr. and Mrs. Metzger will be at home in their new farm house six miles northeast of Pana.

PRAIRIE - Leeverne Rawdin and Miss Agnes Bartimus surprised this community and were married at Shelbyville December 21st. [Shelbyville Democrat, January 5, 1933 vol LIX No. 28 p 6 col 5]

SMITH-RAWDIN
ROCKFORD - Mrs. Maud [M. (Hoy)] Rawdin and Claude Smith stole a march on their many friends and were quietly married in Effingham last Tuesday.
