Leonard C. Ruthe and Marie Shippy Married 22 March 1921 Married 50 Years Mr. and Mrs. Leonard C. Ruthe Sr., 122 N. Grove Ave., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. in fellowship hall of St. John United Church of Christ. Marie Shippy and Leonard Ruthe were married March 22, 1921, in Dubuque, Iowa. They have one son, Leonard Jr. of Rockford, and three grandchildren. A daughter, Marguerite, is deceased.
