Dr. Roy J. Aimone

Dr. Roy J. Aimone will take over the practice of the late Dr. F. X. Graff on Thursday, continuing it as general practice of medicine, obstetrics and surgery. Dr. Aimone is a native of Berwyn, Illinois. After training for two years each in marine engineering at the Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N. Y., and in the U. S. Army Information and Education Specialist School, Carlisle, Pa., he attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., and took his B. A. degree in chemistry at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Ly. Dr. Aimone worked as a metallurgist and research chemist before he took his medical degrees. He attended the University of Lausanne Medical School in Switzerland, with hospital experience also in Paris, France and Orlando, Fla. He interned at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, and was a resident in obstetrics and gynecology also at Cook County, while taking courses in gynepathology and radiation physics. He attended Northwestern University Medical School while working in the departments of public health and industrial medicine. Dr. Aimone also took psychiatric training at Galesburg State Research Hospital, Galesburg, for the past two years, one year of this period on a grant from the National Institute of Health. He is 38 years old, is married and has four children, the youngest 3 and the oldest 12. His wife is a graduate of Texas University for Women, Denton, Texas, who has taken postgraduate work at Hines Veterans Hospital, Hines; San Marcus College, Tex.; Sam Houston College, Huntsville, Tex,; and Monmouth College, Monmouth. She is a dietician and teacher.
