George Bolen who resides four miles south of German Valley lost five head of catttle when struck by lightening.

Emerson Cordes spent the weekend at the home of his parents Mr. & Mrs. T.J. Cordes and siser Lucille.

Mr. and Mrs.John Burkhart & daughter of Del Rapids S.D. spent several days this week at the home of the latter's mother Mrs. W. Grieff & other relatives.

Mrs. Rena Dilly accompanied Mr. & Mrs. Harry Reints of Freeport on a motor trip to Jacksonville where they will attend graduating exercises and the alumni banquet at the school for the blind. Harold Reints, a student of this school will accompany them home.

Herman Boelman left this morning for his home in Belmont Iowa after spending the year at Pleasant Prairie academy.

Mr. & Mrs. Fred Vollmer were guests of relatives at Madison Sunday.
