Emmert Folgate to Marcella Brown

The marriage of Miss Marcella Brown and 1/c Petty Officer Emmert W. Folgate, of the U. S. navy, which took place Wednesday evening at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, is announced by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Brown, 105 1/2 West Main street, Dr. Edwin A Arends officiated at the service. The bride wore a sand-colored mesh street-length dress, white accessories and an orchid corsage. The matron of honor was Mrs. Albert Polenza and she wore a blue and white ensemble and a Talisman roses corsage. Carl Hille was brest man. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for the immediate families and a few intimate friends. Mrs. Brown greeted the guests in a brown gabardine and gardenia corsage. The bridal table was decorated in red, white and blue and was centered with a wedding cake, topped with figurines. Petty Officer Folgate has been in the service of the navy for the past seven years and was on the troop ship, Henry Bergh which was sunk in the Pacific. This is his first leave in two and one half years and he reports for duty the first part of July. The bride is an employee of Kraft Cheese company, a position in which she continues.
