Miss Donna Byington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Byington of Shannon and Herbert E. Coon, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert C. Coon, 806 South Carroll avenue, were married at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Paul V. Church, 822 South Float avenue. Rev. Church performed the double wedding ceremony.

The bride wore a navy blue suit, with a beige blouse and a navy blue hat. She ha a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Harold Hanna, maid of honor, wore a navy blue suit and hat with a corsage of red roses. Larry Smith was best man. The bride was graduated from Shannon high school and attended Northern Illinois State Teachers college at DeKalb. She has been assistant manager of Bells Cotton shop. Mr. Coon is a graduate of Freeport High school and attended Illinois State Norman university at Normal. He served four years in the army air corps. He has been affiliated with the Cash Coal company and Household Appliance company. After a honeymoon trip to Chicago the couple will live at 806 South Carroll avenue.
