Paul L. Miller to Marian Allen

Miss Marian Allen, 310 E. Winslow St. and Paul L. Miller of Pearl City were married Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at the Read Park Pavilion. The double-ring service was performed by Floyd Wiley Jr., presiding minister of the Oak Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Miller is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Allen of Oconee and Mr. Miller is the son of Mrs. Frank Miller of Pearl City.
The pavilion was decorated with white gladioli and white daisies for the ceremony. Mrs. Neil Rouse played the piano. Solo numbers were sung by Mrs. Floyd Wiley Jr.
The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace, ballerina length, and a veil of French illusion. She carried white carnations. Her only attendant was Mrs. Joseph Marassa, who wore a ballerina dress of white nylon and carried a bouquet of white carnations. Best man was William Kostenbader of Red Oak. Ushers were Joseph Marassa, Stanley Kanne, Elmer Schulz and Neil Rouse.
A reception was given at the pavilion after the ceremony. Those who assisted were Mrs. Ivan Lestikow of Dakota, Mrs. Elmer Schultz, Mrs. Ray Kanne, Mr. and Mrs. William Benoy Jr., Roy Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Thurston. The bride was graduated from Shelbyville High School and is a missionary assigned to Freeport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her husband is the presiding minister of the Freeport Congregation. He is a graduate of Forreston High School and is also employed by the A & P Egg Plant. The newlyweds will tour Europe for a honeymoon trip, during which time they will also attend a series of conventions, "Triumphant Kingdom" Assemblies. They will visit England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Holland. The conventions will be held in London, Paris, Rome, Nurnberg and The Hague. Mr. and Mrs. Miller will live in Pearl City when they return.
Those attending the wedding from out of town were from Oak Park, Chicago, Champaign, Decatur, Forreston, Oconee and Pearl City.
