FRED W. NIESMAN
, 72, passed away at his hhome in McConnell about 11 o’clock Saturday night, October 2, 1937. He had been in failing health for several months. Funeral services will be conducted at the Niesman funeral home, conducted by his brother, John Niesman, at Davis, at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made in Freeport City Cemetery.
Mr. Niesman was born at Peru, Indiana June 5, 1866. He came west with his mother and other members of the family, after the death of his father, in 1870. The family settled at Spring Grove, Wisconsin. Mr. Niesman resided in Montana for a few years but most of his life was spent in Stephenson County. He was united in marriage to Mary Bush, who preceded him in death. Later he was again married, to Emma Bingner, who survives. He also leaves three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Viola Furray, Miss Elta Niesman, Alfred, Roy, and Earl Niesman, all of McConnell. There are also two brothers, Charles Niesman of Freeport and John Niesman of Davis.
Mr. Niesman was a carpenter by trade but ill health prevented his working during the past few years.

MAUD M. (ROBINSON) HULL NIESMAN
, of Lena died Sunday morning, October 1, 1972 in Continental Manor Nursing Home here following an extended illness. She was born November 21, 1898 in Ridott, daughter of William and Martha (Leisure) Robinson. On September 29, 1917 she was married to Aaron Hulls in Rockford. He died in 1941. She was married to Roy Niesman April 4, 1946 in Davis.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Mabel) Houser of Dakota; a son, Harold, of Freeport; five stepsons, Leo of Broadhead, Wisconsin, Verle and Bill, both of Pearl City, Robert of Rock City, and John of Cleveland, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Julius (Edna) Wiegman of Norwalk, California and Mrs. Stanley (Twila) Simler of Pearl City; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Schneider of Freeport, Mrs. Mabel Shafer of Ridott, Mrs. Ruth Monahan of San Pedro, California, and Mrs. Vernon (Margaret) Morrow of Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by a sister and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Leamon Funeral Home, Lena. The Rev. Duane Ray, pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church of Cedarville, will officiate. Burial will be in Lena Burial Park. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

ROY FREDERICK NIESMAN
, of Lena, former owner and operator of the Lena Poultry House, died this morning in Freeport Memorial following a brief illness. Mr. Niesman retired in 1964. Born January 31, 1905 in Davis, he was the son of Fred and Emma (Bingner) Niesman. He married Maud Hulls April 4, 1946. She died in 1972.
Surviving are five sons, Leo of Princeton, Wisconsin, Verle of Freeport, Robert of Rock City, Bill of Pearl City, and John of Newbury, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Twila) Simler of Pearl City; a step-son, Harold Hulls of Freeport; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Mabel) Houser of Dakota; two brothers, Alfred of Lena and Earl of Holmes Beach, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Viola) Furray of McConnell; 23 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Leamon’s Funeral Home, Lena. The Rev. Duane Ray, pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, Cedarville, will officiate. Burial will be in Lena Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
