OBITUARIES

EDWARD UHE - A very sad funeral was held at the Lutheran church in Lena yesterday, that of Edward Uhe, son of Henry and Mrs. Uhe. The young man was highly respected by everybody who knew him. He died at his new home in Salem, N. D., and leaves a young wife besides many brothers and his parents to mourn his demise. The cause of his death was appendicitis and being handicapped by a long distance to medical aid. A doctor was summoned in his case and responded as quickly as his auto would carry him. Upon examining the patient he found an operation necessary and returned, taking the patient with him, but the distance was too great - the appendix had broken when they arrived at the doctor's office. An operation was performed but resulted in the death of the deceased. His many friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones.
